That you can't get All Terrain or Mud Terrain tires in passenger car sizes. There are rally tires, but those tend to only come in tiny wheels sizes that I can't fit over the brakes on my car...

Start a business of normal profile offroad tires. Make billions. I know I would buy one.

Just one though. You better give me the other three for free because I said so.

Sooo, what you are saying is that you need rally brakes...

1) It's doubtful anyone makes them for my car and

2) I'm not sure I'd be willing to put up with function-over-comfort race-quality brakes. The squealing!

General Grabber AT2 is available in SOME "car" sizes: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.js…

I ran 215/65R16 on my Legacy without rubbing issues, although I was running Outback struts. Also BFG All Terrains were available in that size as well.

What about winter tires? Not aggressive enough?

It would be nice, but for scca rallycross I'd have to use 17s' to stay in the stock class. Everyone ends up using snow tires.

Oh yeah, 17's are gonna be a toughie. I think you're better off with some Firestone Winterforce tires.

you missed a word "easily", or perhaps "economically"

they are out there, but paying the kind of money needed for legit rally tyres kind of defeats the point of attempting to get mud tyres on the cheap instead
